Healthy Weight Loss - Lose Weight and Keep it Off So the Pounds Won't Pile Back On 1

Healthy weight loss starts with a sensible eating and exercise program. There are no magic pills or shakes out there that will give you the results you want without any effort, so if you’re hoping for a miracle, you’re going to be bitterly disappointed.

So if you want to lose weight the healthy way, where do you start? There are so many options available, so it’s difficult to work out what works and what doesn’t!

Firstly, let’s look at your diet. How many times a day do you eat? Do you eat breakfast? What types of foods are you eating each day?

These are important questions because if you want to see fast results, then both your diet and your level of exercise will play a big part.

It is recommended that you eat smaller, regular meals throughout the day. You should eat between four and seven small meals each day, starting with breakfast too. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Actually, before I go any further, let’s talk about the importance of breakfast. If you want to lose weight, then you must never skip breakfast. This is your first meal of the day and is the key to kick starting your metabolism. Your metabolism plays a big part in weight loss, so if you plan on skipping breakfast each day, then be prepared for tough times.

Healthy weight loss also requires that you maintain an active life. Exercising for between 30 and 45 minutes per day, three times a week is a great start. If you’re doing the right exercises each week, then you will definitely begin to see your body begin to transform.

Your exercise program should combine both strength training and cardio training. Your strength training exercises could include squats, lunges, push ups, bench presses, crunches and bicep curls to name a few.

Your cardio workouts could include intervals where you vary your intensity from moderate to high throughout your workout. Intervals are great and really make a difference. Not only that, but if you incorporate these into your cardio routines you will feel great!

Healthy weight loss usually requires a lifestyle change. It is not something you try for a few months, then revert back to your old habits later. So if you want to lose weight, you should consider changing your eating and exercise habits for the long term by incorporating these strategies into your daily life.
