Looking good and feeling healthy is definitely a challenge these days. With our busy lifestyles, hectic work schedules, and poor diets, it is next to impossible to pull off. That being said though, if you really want to get in shape and look good, you can do it. Since time is always a factor in deciding what workout to follow, here are three fast ways to lose weight that you can immediately begin to implement.
1) Walking- There are many misconceptions about walking and its ability to help with weight loss. Walking is actually an excellent way to lose weight. In fact walking at a decent pace, but not running, will help you to burn fat long after you are done walking. For maximum weight loss, you would be better walking at a stiff pace regularly and doing sprints once a week or so. This type of routine will generally work better for weight loss than running regularly at a faster pace. It is also easier on your joints.
2) Resistance Training– When people think of losing weight, they usually think of walking on a treadmill, jogging, or some other form of aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise or cardio have their place in a weight loss plan, but in my opinion resistance training is far more important. The more lean mass that you have, the more calories you burn each day. If you gain muscle, and eat the same amount of calories, you will burn more calories each day just from the increase in muscle. Resistance training done properly will cause your body to burn calories to help rebuild the muscle and cause them to grow. If you are trying to lose weight and are not doing any resistance training, you are really selling yourself short. Whether it’s in a gym with weights, at home with weights, or body weight training, you will surely lose more weight than doing cardio alone.
3) Weight Loss Fasting– Fasting for weight loss is in my opinion the best way to lose weight. It is easy, does not cost you anything, and will work better than anything else that you try. There are so many myths out there about fasting, that you need to really watch who you listen to. I have done it for almost a year and have had great success with it. It is something that I will use for the rest of my life and wish I would of found out about it sooner. I do a form of fasting called intermittent fasting that is incredibly easy to follow and I still get to eat everyday. I never count calories, never need to try different diets, and never worry if I go to a party and over-indulge on the weekends.
So there you have 3 fast ways to lose weight that will work very well if you consistently give them a shot. If you combine all three for a full month, you will definitely see better results than anything else that I know of. Try them out and you will be well on your way to having the body that you desire. Of the three, weight loss fasting has given me the greatest results, especially when I decrease my carbohydrate intake during the times that I am eating.
